ITINERARY OF THE TRIP (DELHI / JAIPUR / AGRA)

DAY 1 : BEIRUT - DELHI. Departure Beirut in the afternoon to Delhi, Via Bahrain.

DAY 2 : DELHI. Arrival Delhi. Meet, assist and transfer to hotel. Balance of day at leisure. Overnight in Delhi.

DAY 3 : OLD & NEW DELHI. Full Day tour to visit India's capital city. Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines the ancient with the modern. Starting with Old Delhi, there will be a visit to RAJ GHAT, the memorial to Mahatma Ghandi. Then drive by the RED FORT, take a bicycle rickshaw to one of Asia's largest and most magnificent mosques: JAMA MASJID. Proceed to New Delhi, wich reflects the legacy the British left
behind. Visit the QUTUB MINAR, the tallest stone tower in India. Then visit HUMAYUN'S TOMB, which inspired the construction of the Taj Mahal in Agra. The tour also includes a drive past the imposing INDIA GATE, the PARLIAMENT BUILDING and the RASTRAPATHI BHAWAN, the president's residence. Overnight in Delhi.

DAY 4 : DELHI - AGRA (204 KMS). Depart Delhi to Agra. Arrival and overnight hotel in Agra.

DAY 5 : AGRA. Early morning, proceed with a sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal by horse carriages. The TAJ MAHAL, which took 22 years and 20,000 men to build, is truly one of the wonders of the world. Built by the Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal in the 17 century, this outstanding piece of architecture with its marble inlay work, appears to be perfect from almost any angle. Then visit AGRA FORT with its HALL OF PUBLIC AUDIENCES and ROYAL PAVILIONS. Overnight hotel in AGRA.

DAY 6 : AGRA - FATEHPUR SIKRI - JAIPUR (220 KMS). En route to Jaipur, visit the deserted red sandstone city of FATEHPUR SIKRI, which remains today in much the same condition that it was over 300 years ago. It is complete with palaces and mosques, and is an extraordinary place to wander around. Continue to Jaipur, in the heart of RAJASHTAN, by far the most colourful region in India. There is a timeless quality to the "pink city" of Jaipur. Overnight hotel in Jaipur.

DAY 7 : JAIPUR. Morning, enjoy an elephant ride to the AMBER FORT, Jaipur's main tourist attraction.Visits of the many intricate chambers and hallways of this Palace which has breathtaking views of the JAL MAHAL (Water Palace) below. Afternoon tour of the "Pink City" of Jaipur, to include visits of the CITY PALACE, a complex which houses the CHANDRA MAHAL, the residence of the MAHRAJA. Proceed to the JANTAR MANTAR OBSERVATORY where a variety of huge astronomical instruments are displayed. Also visit of the PALACE OF WINDS, or HAWA MAHAL the magnificent five storey facade, behind which the royal ladies used to watch all the ceremonies. Overnight in Jaipur.

DAY 8 : JAIPUR - DELHI (260 KMS). Morning at leisure. Noon time drive to Delhi. Overnight at hotel in Delhi.

DAY 9 : DELHI - BEIRUT. After breakfast. Check out from hotel & transfer to airport for return to Beirut via Bahrain.
