DAY 1 : Beirut - Colomco. Departure to Colombo .

DAY 2 : Colombo. Arrival Colombo and transfer to selected hotel. Afternoon, proceed to sight seeing tour of Colombo with possibility of shopping. Colombo was a fort city during the times of occupation by successive European powers and the architecture of buildings is a blend of the past influences. Highlight places of visit include the Colombo Museum, the Independence Square, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Town Hall and Parliament. Overnight in Colombo.

DAY 3 : Colombo - Pinnawala (83 Kms) - Dambulla (95 Kms). After breakfast ,transfer to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, which was started in 1975 to house abandoned and wounded elephants. The sanctuary covers 25 acres of lush vegetation with an approximate population of about 77 consisting of both adult and baby elephants. Afternoon continue to Dambulla, famous for the five cave Temples on a rock. The first 3 caves are better, older and larger than the other two. Some caves date to the first century.B.C. All the 5 cave walls and ceilings are covered with Buddhist murals and there are more than 130 Buddha statues, as well as statues of Gods and Kings .Overnight in Dambulla.

DAY 4 : Dambulla - Polonnaruwa (68 Kms) - Sigiriya (24 kms) - Dambulla. After breakfast, excursion to Polonnaruwa, the capital of Sri Lanka from 11th - 13th Century. It contains some splendid and spectacular statues. Lankatilake, Tivanka and Thuparama are the most beautiful and largest shrine ruins and Tivanka has the best example of frescoes of the
Polonnaruwa period. Gal Vihare - a rock shrine, has four Buddha statues, two seated, one standing and one reclining. Evening continue to Sigiriya, home to the 5th century "Fortress in the sky" . On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and garden . On one of the stairways, is the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting which survived in the form of frescoes of life sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original colour. Overnight in Dambulla.

DAY 5 : Dambulla - Kandy (72 Kms). After breakfast, proceed to Kandy, the laidback capital of the hill country and the historical bastion of Buddhist power. It is built around a peaceful lake and set in a picturesque bowl of hills. Today it is the center of Buddhism, Arts, Crafts and Culture. En route, visit Dambulla Cave temple and the Spice Garden in Matale. Overnight in Kandy.

DAY 6 : Kandy . After breakfast, enjoy a sight-seeing tour of Kandy, with visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens - 147 acres in extent. It was started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Kandy. There are more than 5000 species of trees and plants. Afternoon, visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which was brought to Sri Lanka in the 4th Century A.D., hidden in an Orissan princess' hair. The Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka's most prized possession. Evening CULTURAL DANCE SHOW. Overnight in Kandy.

DAY 7 : Kandy - Nuwara Eliya (77 Kms). After breakfast, leave for Nuwara Eliya, the "Little England" of Sri Lanka, set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. The Victoria Park ,in the midst of town, is one of Sri Lanka's loveliest parks. Afternoon, City-sight seeing tour of Nuwara Eliya. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 8 : Nuwara Eliya - Horton Plains - Nuwara Eliya. After breakfast, take trekking tour to Horton Plains, the beautiful national park with an altitude of 2000 m. It is undoubtedly one of the world's best nature reserves, with rolling hills, grasslands and waterfalls. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 9 : Nuwara Eliya - Mount Lavinia. After breakfast, leave for Mount Lavinia, the new town south of Colombo, famed for its beaches and laid back nightlife . En route enjoy the sight of St. Claire's & Devon Waterfalls. Overnight in Mount Lavinia.

DAY 10 : Mount Lavinia - Beirut. After breakfast, transfer to airport and return to Beirut.
