- Colomco. Departure to Colombo .
Friday 2 April : Colombo
Airport - Pinnawala - Habarana (198
Kms). Arrival
To Colombo airport and transfer to Pinnawala. Breakfast
and rest in Pinnawala Restaurant.Then visit the Pinnawala
Elephant Orphanage ,which was started in 1975 to house
abandoned and wounded elephants. The sanctuary
covers 25 acres of lush vegetation with an approximate
population of about 77 elephants (both adult and baby
elephants).Afternoon continue to Habarana. .Overnight
in Harabana. CHAAYA VILLAGE (4*)
Saturday 3 April : Habarana
- Polonnaruwa (43 Kms) - Sigiriya (67 Kms) - Habarana
(23 Kms). After breakfast, excursion to
Polonnaruwa,which was the Capital of Sri Lanka from
11th - 13th Century .Is is famous for its four Buddha
statues, two seated, one standing and one reclining.
Evening continue to Sigiriya ,for a climb of the Sigiriya
Rock,which is home to the 5th century "Fortress
in the sky" . On its summit are the foundations
of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and
garden complete with a swimming pool. On one of the
stairways is the only known ancient work of Sinhala
secular painting which has survived in the form of
frescoes of life sized damsels in all the freshness
and delicacy of their original colour. En route to
Habarana, visit of a Batik Factory. Overnight in Habarana,
the beautiful tourist city, famed for its resorts.
CHAAYA VILLAGE (4*)
Sunday 4 April : Habarana
- Dambulla - Kandy (99 Kms). After breakfast,
proceed to Kandy, the laidback capital of the hill
country, and the historical bastion of Buddhist power.It
is built around a peaceful lake and set in a picturesque
bowl of hills. Today it is the center of Buddhism,
Arts, Crafts and Culture. En route, visit Dambulla
Cave temple and the Spice Garden in
Matale. Afternoon, visit to the Temple of the Sacred
Tooth Relic ,which ever since the 4th Century is considered
Sri Lanka's most prized possession. Evening :attend
a performance of CULTURAL DANCE SHOW. Overnight in
Kandy. CHAAYA CITADEL HOTEL (4*)
Monday 5 April : Kandy -
Nuwara Eliya (77 Kms). After breakfast,
leave to Nuwara Eliya , The "Little England"
of Sri Lanka.It is set against beautiful backdrops
of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations.
The Victoria Park ,in the midst of town, is one of
Sri Lanka's loveliest parks. Afternoon, City-sight
seeing tour of Nuwara Eliya. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Tuesday 6 April : Nuwara
Eliya - Yala (195 Kms). After breakfast,
proceed to Yala for the special Safari tour in Yala
National Park by Jeep. The Yala National Park is a
wildlife paradise, and one of SriLanka's premier eco
tourism destinations. Evening at leisure . Overnight
in Yala. YALA VILLAGE (4*).
Wednesday 7 April : Yala
- Colombo (305 Kms). After breakfast, proceed
to Colombo, En route visit Galle, the famous seaport
bordering a tea-growing region and passing by the
beaches of Kikkaduwa, Bentota and
Beruwela. Overnight in Colombo. GALADARI HOTEL (5

Thursday 8 April : Colombo.
After breakfast, proceed to a sight seeing tour of
Colombo with possibility of shopping. Colombo was
a fort city during the times of occupation by successive
European powers and the architecture of buildings
is a blend of the past influences. Highlight places
of visit include the Colombo Museum, the Independence
Square, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference
Hall, Town Hall and Parliament. Overnight in Colombo.
GALADARI
