The late Mrs. Afaf Ghazi founded Ghazi Travel in 1980. Since August 2003, the Agency is run by Mrs.Lina Ghazi. Ghazi Travel is member of the Association of Travel and Tourist Agents in Lebanon (ATTAL), and member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), as well as member of the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA). Mrs.Afaf Ghazi was ASTA chapter President for Lebanon and Jordan for 2 consecutive terms, from 1990 to 1994. Mrs. Lina Ghazi was elected ASTA Chapter PRESIDENT for Lebanon from 2005 - 2007. In 2010, she was elected member of the board of SKAL Club Lebanon. The travel agency consists of 2 independent departments, one for issuing air tickets, and the second department is for tours.
The Tourism Department is specialized in outgoing tours. Up till now there are 20 destinations, as follows:

2002 & 2003: Won the HIGH FLYERS AWARD for SALES EXCELLENCE on BRITISH AIRWAYS.

2003 :On July 2003 GHAZI TRAVEL was awarded a certicate for OUTSTANDING SALES, from CONTINENTAL AIRLINES.

2003: Won the "Passenger Agent's Bronze Award For Excellence In Productivity and Passenger Sales" on GULF AIR.

2004: One of "Top Ten Agents for Sales" on OLYMPIC AIRLINES.

2005: Won the SALES ACHIEVEMENT AWARD on MALAYSIA AIRLINES.

2006: Has been presented with the TRAVEL AGENTS AWARDS by BRITISH AIRWAYS for "Service Excellence".

2007: Again Ghazi Travel was one of Top Ten Agents for sales on OLYMPIC AIRLINES

2008: One of Top Twenty Agents for outstanding sales on CZECH AIRLINES

Ghazi Travel's Ticketing offices, as well as Ghazi Travel's tourism department pride themselves on the number of repeat customers they have, as well as the strong referrals.

GHAZI TRAVEL has an ideal location in Bliss Street, the heart of Beirut, and facing the American University of Beirut. The ticketing office is located on the ground floor, whereas the tourism department is located on the third floor.
